Conversation with first grader:
"how do you spell book?" me
She writes boos
"That spells boos what letter did you forget?" me
"My Dad drinks booze" her
"Oh, well that spells boos like many ghosts saying boo" me
"Well, My Dad does drink booze." her
"and so does my papa,"
and on the list went... Eventually we got back to spelling book!
